01 / The problem
The information is not neutral
A certification provider is not a disinterested guide to whether you should buy its exam. Neither is a blog whose ranking changes with its affiliate rates. Both are useful, and neither is impartial — which leaves the person actually paying the fee to reconcile them alone.
Crydd’s answer is not louder opinion. It is a catalog where every rating shows its working, every fact links to its source, and the business model gives nobody a reason to tilt the results.
02 / Principles
What that means in practice
- Calculated, not asserted
- The Crydd Score is produced by a fixed engine from verified facts and stated editorial ratings. Nobody types a number in. The same inputs always return the same score, and every factor behind it is shown on the page.
- Independent by design
- No provider can pay for placement, a higher score, or a softer verdict — and none has ever been offered the option. Crydd earns money only from optional Premium subscriptions paid by readers.
- Honest about gaps
- Where a provider does not publish a figure, the page says so instead of estimating one. A factor with no verified signal is reported as awaiting data rather than quietly averaged in.
- Verifiable at the source
- Every certification links to the official provider page the facts came from, and shows the date it was last checked. You never have to take a rating on faith.

How suggestions are generated

04 / Coverage
Global credentials, and the Philippine ones nobody else lists
The catalog covers the credentials that carry weight internationally — AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, PMI, Adobe, Autodesk and the rest — alongside the Philippine ones that matter locally and are usually missing from global lists, including TESDA qualifications and DICT programmes.
Budget is treated as a first-class filter rather than an afterthought: 104 of the 256 certifications catalogued cost under US$100, and 74 of those are free outright.
